it goes without saying that 1963 was a tumultuous time. JFK would die, the Viet Nam war would start to escalate, the Beatles published “Please please me” and a small boatbuilding firm in Wickford RI called Sailstar was producing boats made out of glassfibre. this “frozen Snot’ as yacht designer L. Francis Herreshoff was to call it, would change the world of boating forever.

One of these boats would eventually be mine, the Sea Sprite 23 weekender number 110.

A long time sailor who has been away from the water for too long, I am working hard to bring an old and abused boat back to life. When not working on my boat, I can often be found working as a Stage Hand in Atlantic City or just out and about on my Mountain Bike. I really come off as a quiet and boring person when people first meet me.
